About Us
Set in the grounds of Padbury School in our purpose built eco-friendly building, our Pre-school provides the opportunity for your child to experience the first nine years of their education on one site.
Our vision for our children at Padbury Preschool is for them to be happy and confident learners. This is when we know that children learn best, and this underpins all that we do. We aim to enable children to develop and grow and to be confident, independent, curious, resilient, creative, and empathetic individuals. We encourage children to assess and take risks and promote the development of communication skills through all that they do. Our vision is for children to develop a love of learning through a combination of child-initiated play opportunities and quality adult-led interactions which promote children’s next steps and are led by the interests of the children.
Our intent for our children at Padbury Preschool is that ALL children grow into happy and confident learners. To help children gain knowledge, skills, behaviours and attuides that are needed to succeed in life. We will implement this by building an understanding of children's own experiences and backgrounds in order to broaden minds. The impact we hope to achieve is awe and wonder, knowledge and understanding of the community and wider world and to develop the children's love for learning, books and attuide to learning.
We provide an environment that is nurturing, stimulating and fun; where all children flourish and develop through a range of play based activities. Children leave pre-school in readiness for their next stage of education as keen and confident learners. Our strength lies in our ability and desire to work and plan together across the Foundation Stage.
We work very closely with Padbury School and we share celebrations such as Harvest Festival, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Easter in addition to themed assemblies, sports and play events.
When it is time for your children to move on, they do so as happy confident children – their early years and later successes are a testimony to the start of their education at Padbury. 'Padbury School caters for all children from Foundation Stage (4 years old) to National Curriculum Key Stage 2 (11 years old).
Padbury Pre-school is a registered charity and currently employs six members of experienced staff.
We provide flexible morning, lunch and afternoon sessions throughout term time. This includes early starter sessions from 8.45am.
